Herron Classical Schools (HCS) is planning to expand their facilities to include the Herron Preparatory Academy (HPA) serving K-8 students at the former Salvation Army Headquarters located at 3100 North Meridian Street, Indianapolis, Indiana. The building built as an office building in the late 1960s will be repurposed for the new elementary school.

ARCHitecture Trio, Inc. is providing architectural design services including the interior reconfiguration of the building into classrooms, common learning spaces, full cafeteria, and support spaces. The introduction of innovative interior design solutions to facilitate enhanced learning, along with an updated exterior color palette, multi-functional outdoor learning spaces, and new playgrounds are planned to promote the classical, liberal arts learning program of the school with a mission to serve an intentionally diverse population.
