Application Preparation

The Federal Government currently offers federal tax credits for the rehabilitation of income-producing properties listed on or eligible for the National Register of Historic Places, either individually or as part of a district. Various state and local governments provide state/local tax credits through a program that mirrors the Federal program. A 10% Federal Income Tax Credit is also available for income-producing buildings that are not eligible for the National Register but were built before 1939.


Various states also recognize the significance of historic residential properties & provides tax credits for the rehabilitation of historic homes for owner-occupied properties/structures recognized on the State/Local Register of Historic Sites & Structures.
